Who am I
I am Susanna. Daughter of Barbara, who was the daughter of Ottilie, who was the daughter of Lillian. And so it goes. I am an enthusiastic learner of most things in life. I am a birth worker, a spinner, a weaver of textiles and stories, a food lover, a friend to animals, a yoga teacher, a plant & herb enthusiast, an energy worker, a space holder, a proud Aunt, an avid reader, and an exceptional talker. I am eager to share knowledge, to expand awareness with both giving & receiving, and to create a community of like minded people. As individuals we are amazing. As a collective we can be unstoppable. Join me as I journey through life and share experiences & lessons along the way.

What I Do
Spinning & Weaving
My journey into the world of textiles began while I was the caretaker of a local, historical farm. There I had the honor of caring for a small herd of sheep. After receiving a gift of a spinning wheel from a friend, I decided to dive in head first! Since that first gifted wheel, I have acquired three looms, various other fiber tools, and built what fiber enthusiasts call ‘a stash’. I love to spin lots of colorful fibers and then weave them lovingly into beautiful shawls, scarves, pillow covers, table runners, and more! I gift many and sell some. You can find my work available on Etsy. I've also been honored to display my work at the Reboli Center for Art & History in Stony Brook, NY. Custom orders are warmly welcomed! Shipping or local pickup available xo
Food & Herbalism
When I think about where I’ve been in life, the people I’ve met, the places I’ve lived or traveled to, the boats and farms I’ve had the pleasure of working or living on I realize this: it’s always been about food. My memories are conjured up by smells and tastes of sunny tomato days and briny seafood nights. It was my Nana who recognized my love of food at a young age, my never ceasing wonder at her work in the kitchen and my yearn to learn where it all came from. So our very first garden was planted. We had tomatoes, zucchini, green beans and marigolds. I had so much fun getting my hands dirty but it was my first taste of a sun ripened, slightly dusty, fresh off the vine tomato that sold me. Things were never quite the same after that. My whole mindset changed. I couldn’t believe just how good vegetables could actually taste. When that door opened it was like a floodgate in my life. As I got older I began to explore the use of plants not just for nourishment but as medicine. There is no doubt about it - I love food. What I love even more is sharing it with others! Yoga
I began my yoga teacher training in 2019 with the Long Island Yoga School, completing my 200hr certification with them. Since then, I have worked my way through an 85hr Prenatal Yoga training with the Yoga Education Institute and most recently completed The Sensual Soma training; a 100hr course focused on sensual, somatic, tantric & trauma informed yoga. I love to tie all of these learnings in together to create a full-bodied experience. One where the student is invited to explore their own movements & sensations all while under my invitational guidance. You can find me teaching weekly at Embody Massage & Wellness in Setauket, NY. I also offer private group instruction. Experience a class that can truly be your own. Life is a journey. Yoga is a practice. Step on your mat & get started.

Celebrating Life Through Ceremony
I offer private Reiki sessions, Energy Cleanses, Postpartum Belly Binding & Closing of the Bones Ceremonies in the comfort of your own home.
